Stage Technique.
Add some foreground to improve your imagery.
The top half of these photos could stand by themselves as a scenic for a calendar, and lots of people might shoot it. Here, I included a 'stage' for boats to pass through. After 5 to 10 minutes I have quite a variety of truly unique images. A key is to design a composition and keep the camera stable as your subject pass-by.
