Light Painting.
Light painting is a relatively new technique thanks to high sensitivity cameras. It must be very dark and your exposure long enough that a typical 'flashlight' will add color. With your camera shutter is open, point your light at the foreground and experiment. Your light will lose its intensity very quickly, so the closer the foreground the better. Read the 'inverse square' law. Try covering your headlamp with different colored plastic bags.
