Night Photography.
Fireworks might be one subject where a tripod is required, since exposures are about 10. seconds at f8, ISO 400. It's easy to get the fireworks to look good, the difficulty is finding a well-lit foreground underneath them. Basically, you use a 10 exposure to properly expose the foreground. Then it's easy to 'catch' several fireworks, which last 2-3 seconds each.
